Reacting to the report that notes the Public sector gets paid far more than private sector, Irene Lanzinger the President of the BC Fed simply wants corporations to pay employees more to catch up to the Public sector. At the same time she pushes for higher taxes on corporations!

The idea that the rich needs to be taxed to cover all of government expenditures. Surprise, If the government taxed every cent of the top 1% they wouldn’t even come close to covering all the other promises government has made in this year, much less the deficits from years gone by.

Governments love to spend money so its no wonder Rachel Notedly is defending the pipeline given back of the envelope math determines that its worth more than 47 Billion in taxes for Government coffers. Other numbers are dramatic.

It’s curious what creates tremendous waste in government spending. For example how is it that there can be no clean drinking water on some native reserves after spending 10 billion a year? Despite the urge to put all the examples of government waste down to inefficiency and sloth, Michael says there is quite a different reason for it.
