Questionable Spending With Little Oversight
on Monday, 17 July 2017 16:26
If it wasn’t such a daugnting task, the average band member would easily know how much band counciil members are spendng band money. Not so easy. At the forefront you have the Trudeau Liberals removing accounability, forcing members like lastest member of the Cree band being forced to go to court to get the expendictures of her band council and chief. Not a very promisiing project when an investigation like this can takes months, if not years. This on top of 31 seperate reports from Auditor General Sheila Fraser begging for just such accounability. Since this system doesnt benefit band members, who does this system benefit?
